Peter Walker (1946) visited the College recently to drop off some Parade and Old Paradian memorabilia that he wanted to donate to our archives.
Peter is a regular attendee at the Old Paradians' Association RACV luncheon. He joins a few nonagenarians who enjoy these monthly lunches.
Interestingly, Peter’s grandfather Hugh McAnuff who was an Old Paradian was taught by Brothers Treacy, Bodkin, Lynch and Hughes at the first Parade College school behind St Francis Church Lonsdale Street in 1868. Perhaps Pat, John and Frank Mount’s grandfather, and Hugh were classmates?
Peter was a long-time organiser and participant in the annual Old Paradians' Golf Day. Significantly, the ‘Golf Day’ is back on the calendar and scheduled for 10 November at Rosanna Golf Club. Old Paradians Luke Thomas (1988) and Steve Nailer (1987) are organising the event this year. Look out for details and bookings on the Old Paradians website.
