Pictured here at a recent function at the Hyatt on the Park are proud Old Paradians who made their mark in their careers as League footballers – from left to right the Collingwood Premiership player of 1958 Brian Beers, South’s Brownlow Medallist of ’70 Peter Bedford and the black and whites’ Coleman Medallist of ’72 and ’3 Peter McKenna – final year OPs of 1957, ’64 and ’63 respectively.
Also flying the purple, green and blue banner, in this instance in the 3AW corporate marquee on Grand Final day, was Brian's son Stephen Beers (1985), now the Director of Operations at 3AW and Magic 1278, and Daniel Harford (1994) - the 162-game former Hawthorn and Carlton footballer now RSN 927 breakfast host.
To quote the gregarious ‘Harf’ in his facebook post - “a big day for OPs at the ’G. Stephen Beers (Class of '85) entertaining the corporates at the 3AW marquee”.
Gotta love the OPA caps.
