College Principal, Mark Aiello, was the guest speaker at the November lunch held recently. Mark outlined the ‘world of opportunities’ the College is able to offer its students. Included in Mark’s presentations were some promotional or marketing videos that paint a picture of the variety of opportunities that our students can access. From the academic to the sport, the arts, community service, music, applied learning and vocational pathways, Mark spoke passionately and with pride at how the College can provide for an inclusive and holistic education for its students. Mark spoke of the continuing goal of providing quality education at affordable fees and the current demands in meeting that goal. Mark proceeded to answer some questions from the floor.
Pat Mount again did a great job as Master of Ceremonies while, as always, Keith Sharkie did a great job coordinating the Luncheon. I was given the opportunity to outline recent OPA new, activities, events and how planning is well underway for 2024.
Honorary Old Paradian, former long-time teacher and Vietnam Veteran, John Joss, brought Remembrance Day poppies for each guest at the luncheon which were proudly sponsored by the Old Paradians Association. John and the RSL were most appreciative of this.
