Another enjoyable lunch was held on 8 June at the RACV Club. Judge David Jones again did an excellent job as MC of the event.
David was able to welcome members of the graduating classes of 1962, 1963 and 1964. Pat Mount did a lot of leg work getting the group together. It was also promoted on the OPA website and social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.
The group included Reserve Judge of the County Court and Chairperson of the Victorian Racing Tribunal John Bowman who was the guest speaker at the event. John was an outstanding student at school explaining how he was an ‘accidental Paradian’, but eternally grateful for the opportunities his school provided. His exchanges with the legendary Br ‘Butch’ Moloney were entertaining as was his tales of the racing industry.
Other guests included Terry Killen, 1963 College Captain, Bill Scott AM and Old Paradian Community Service Award recipient Bill Gibbins. First Chair of the Parade College Board Dan Donovan came up from Ocean Grove for the get together.
Thanks again to Keith Sharkie and also Pat Mount for his efforts in getting the reunion group together.
