Old Collegian, Adam Paulo (1998), returned to his alma mater to address the College’s senior Sports Academy and Physical Education students.
Working with National, World and Olympic athletes, Adam is a Strength and Conditioning Coach who is the current Strength Manager at Collingwood Football Club.
Starting as a scholarship trainee coach with the Victorian Institute of Sport, Adam entered the professional football ranks at the Richmond Football Club and then as a long-standing Fitness Coach at the Melbourne Football Club from 2003 – 2012. Crossing codes into Rugby League, Adam worked in Strength & Conditioning at the Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans.
Adam has also been consulted to assist with National Teams such as Australian Kangaroos Rugby League, Queensland Maroons Rugby League, Australian National Basketball Teams Boomers & Opals and Olympic level Mogul Skiing Australian Athletes.
In October 2016, he was made Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Italian Rugby League World Cup squad, to oversee the performance program in the World Cup Qualifiers in the lead in for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
Returning to his passion in AFL, Adam has been the Strength Manager at Collingwood Football Club since 2018.
Adam gave an engaging and informative presentation on the demands of elite level high performance sport. Adam is a wonderful example of passion, determination and resilience in following his dream, first sparked at the College, to work in the elite sport field.
